                                                        + Polar
                                                        + In Arms
                                                           Sheffield Corporation 28 / 09 / 12

The gig venue was Sheffield Corporation, the proud home of this northern mob metal crewe. So a passionate and loyal crowd was expected, this headline show had been anticipated for months and with the show sold out at this perfect venue, when I say perfect I mean quite the opposite but in terms of a very intimate, crammed sweatbox what could possible be better ?

Having arrived late to the gig, I missed the opening acts which where Polar and In Arms. Polar are my tip to  have a bright future ahead of them having recently played Hit The deck in which I watched them in the smallest rooms, and thoroughly impressed me with there stage presence and brand of passionate Hardcore, there a band to fully watch out for, and 2013 could be there year.

Next on the lineup were Crossfaith, who originate from Japan and play a very unique mix of Metalcore slammed with synth and electronic beats. Im not the biggest fan of bands who combine these two elements. I find it more of a current gimmick that will loose its appeal fast. However I'm not going to lie. I found them really enjoyable and were so much fun, and you can tell by the amount of pits and drunk dancing how well they were going down, and the surprise inclusion of Prodigy's omen really upped the gears up. A fantastic set by these fine Japanese dudes and a great warm up for what was about to come up. 7/10

Bleed From Within, always have a great following when they come to Sheffield,  playing a set a of bone crushing riffs and growling deathcore vocals, theres bodies flying everywhere at the sense blood in the pitts. I can't fault the set and they introduced a new song to a massive roar, and believe me it sounds massive, though having seen the scottish onslaught many times in recent months, theres not much new to the set, so my opinion is a little biased so judging by the crowd who are seeing them for the first time potentially its hard not to give them a high mark. The next album should really be anticipated and could be the make or break of them. 6/10

The time was now, wherever you looked there was While She Sleep merchandise all over the crowd as chants of "While She Sleeps " and "Yorkshire," started to echo around this intimidating venue. so it was no surprise to the massive roar when they finally walked onto the stage opening up with the heavy hitting until the death. The bands live show is something that needs to be seen, as they some to there own. A setlist which featured all the crows favourites such as the emphatic be(lie)ve which really sent the crowd singing along to the chorus, be damned if I didn't see 1 person not singing along apart from the bores chugging there drink at the back. Highlight of the show was the highly acclaimed single track This Is The Six which sounded absolutely huge. The band were on top form and sounded so tight live and the amount of energy and passion showed on stage implies While She Sleeps are certainly here to stay and a new founder of the wave of british metal, along with the likes of Bring Me The Horizon and Bullet For My Valentine the UK scene is in safe hands, While She Sleeps are a band that needs to been seen to fully appreciate the accomplishment of there music, only downside was the length of there set but that is fully understandable due to there not so big back catalogue, just demonstrates how big these 5 yorkshire men have got in there short music careers and asks the question how far can they go 8/10
